Chiffon is a transparent, delicate, veil-like fabric
The fabric is very soft and feels sand-like. This is due to the yarns, which are twisted in alternating directions and woven into a plain weave. Because the fabric is so soft and delicate, it has a soft, flowing drape and feels very pleasant against the skin.
Blouses, dresses, and fine scarves drape particularly beautifully when sewn from chiffon.
