The pattern of a lace is created by the holes in the textile. That might sound at first strange, but in fact a lace fabric always consists of openwork elements, which, through their connection, form the flat textile. Very famous patterns are the floral images or flourishes. Theoretically, however, any figures and elements are conceivable.

Due to its delicate and feminine character, the material is particularly used for elegant clothing. Underwear, bridal wear, blouses, evening dresses and nightwear are just a few examples of this.
