This fabric is very easy to work with and has a particularly pleasant feel.
Corduroy has velvety longitudinal ribs and was originally produced primarily in Manchester, England. It is very durable and was formerly worn mainly by factory workers. Today, it is used in countless variations, from baby clothes to casual wear such as jackets and trousers, to accessories and home textiles like bags, backpacks, or decorative pillows.
This corduroy fabric has 4.5 wales, meaning its ribs are quite wide. For example, baby corduroy has about 21 wales. The lower the number, the wider the ribs.
